Grant is now home and the cats are getting to know him. Fortunately everyone seems to be getting along very well. We are trying to get into a pattern of sleeping and feeding, but for now we are at little Grant’s beckon call. I can understand how easy it will be to lose track of my days. The transition from day to night is a haze, and it is so easy to lose time as I watch him sleep.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the seemingly endless deliveries of fruit and flower baskets, so a quick thank you to everyone for your kindness. Pauly has been taking such great care of Grant and I, and our families have also been very kind and generous in their care of us.
Grant has had some exciting “firsts,” including riding in the car, going for a swing, and taking his first walk in the stroller (which by the way corners like it’s on rails). Grant also met his 7-month old cousin Laurel. It seems that Grant’s feet are already the same size as Laurel’s!
Grant also gets to root for the UConn Women’s Basketball team during his first NCAA Basketball Tournament. Go Huskies
Unfortunately, Grant also experienced his first Tornado warning as well. It was bound to happen at some point — luckily we didn’t have to go into the crawl space.
