It is amazing how quickly (and slowly) 12 weeks have passed. I still can’t believe that we have a son, although there are some mornings (usually Saturdays) when I think, “When will this babysitting job end?” Our life has been tossed, turned and flipped inside out. The thought of a future filled with washed cars and cut grass gives us the strength to endure during our sleep deprived days.
I just returned back to work (part-time), as Grant began his first week of daycare. We both made it through the week with flying stars. Grant has become something of a celebrity – apparently he is a very mellow and chill guy, and everyone loves to hold him. I’ll admit that there were a few times during the week when I had to look at his picture, but overall I was very excited to be returning to work. Not only do I enjoy my job and coworkers, but returning to work has added a bit of normalcy back into my life.
Grant continues to grow big and strong. At his two month check-up, he was in the 75% percentile for both height and weight. We are formulating a plan to save for future grocery shopping trips, when he starts eating us out of house and home.
The cats continue to act indifferent to Grants’ presence, although they have rubbed their heads against his feet once or twice. We’re incredibly fortunate that our cats have decided to abstain from scratching up furniture or peeing on carpets.

hope you had a very happy Father’s Day!!
Sarah, your comment that Grant is a mellow guy made me smile! Wonder where he got that trait?
Love all of you!
