Happy Halloween!

Grant’s first Halloween, and we have a drooling Lion cub in our midst.  Mr. Man’s top front teeth are starting to come in, so Grant has been soaking every bib in the house.  He’s also learned how to blow raspberries with his lips and tongue, so our house sounds like a whoopee cushion is being sat on every few seconds.

Here is our ferocious lion:

Rrrraarrw!

Ppppbbbbbtt!

Grant’s first punkin, as you can see Grant’s smile had an impact on the pumpkin design.

Whoa, whoa. Dad, I saw you just open this guy up and scoop out his insides and he’s still smiling?

Fall colors

Hard to believe young Mr. Grant will be 7-months next week!  Also hard to believe how busy a little boy can keep us.

Since autumn is both Sarah and my favorite season, we have enjoyed taking Grant along with us to enjoy some of our fall traditions.  Pumpkin patches, walking in the leaves, caramel apples (none for Grant yet) and other fun activities.

We’re looking forward to Halloween, although I’m not going to tell what costume we already have for Grant, you’ll just have to check back in :)

At daycare Grant got his first school photo, and it came out great, and in true Grant style there is a bit of drool visible.  Oh well, plenty more years to get some more school photos to have fun with (as daddy also had some pretty goofy school photos).

Hey, I’m in the hay!

These won’t do, I want bigger pumpkins

What frost warning?

Daddy Daycare

Well, I finally got some time to sit and write a new post.  Grant’s daycare is closed this week for an annual cleanup and repair, so Grant and I are spending the week together which has been great.  While the lil man is asleep I uploaded several new collections of photos (70+ photos) from some of Grant’s past few weeks.

We’ve had several people stop by and visit; including a few Grandmas, Great-Grandparents, Great-Aunts, and a Great-Cousin.

Grant continues to improve on his sitting and will even stand (assisted) for a while.  I’m not quite ready for him to toddle around the house yet (nor are the cats), but I know it’s not terribly far off.  Grant has even tried a few servings of rice cereal, however he’s still not quite sure on that one.

What is this? Where is the bottle?

Now I hear some stirring in the nursery, so time to go.  I’ll post something else by the end of the week about Pelotonia, a big thank you to those who donated!

Yankee Doodle Doze-y

Grant’s first 4th of July was celebrated at the Upper Arlington parade today.  Although he used the opportunity for a nice long nap as Sarah and I walked him up from home to the parade route.  At the parade a few drums and horns woke him every so often, however for Grant it was just another ride in the stroller in some very warm weather ;)

Patriotic yet tired

At least with the hot summer it means the pool is open and Grant has shown that he does like to take a dip.

Like a big bath tub

Last week we had a very strong wind storm move through the area and took power out at Aunt Katie and Uncle Trevor’s house.  Luckily we still had power so for the weekend the little cousins got together until power was restored.

More pics have been uploaded and I’ll have some more posts soon (I swear)

Back to work I go…

Wow, it’s been a very fast three weeks.  I have loved being home and being with my new family, however my time to get back to the job has come.  My first day back was today and it was good to see everyone in the office as well as show off some photos of Grant on the site.  Sarah and Grant had a great pediatrician visit with everything checking out a-ok for Grant.

Got a few new photos up in the pictures area, everyone is asking for more updates but I don’t want to keep spamming “Here is a picture of Grant on the blanket” or “Here is Grant taking a nap”, but I’ll try to keep the photos coming ;)

Some of the better ones:

Grant's hat may be just a little big, but he'll get there

I would love to know what he was thinking in this shot ;)

Birthday, bath, and Grandpa

Yesterday was Sarah’s b-day which we celebrated quietly at home with her favorite new gift.

Mommy's favorite gift

Grant also got his first bath in the tub after his cord fell off, and even Sake helped out.  She surprised Sarah in the bathroom by going all billy-goat and hopping onto Sarah’s back while Sarah was bathing Grant.  And of course instead of me removing the cat I grabbed the camera :)

We also picked up Grandpa Miller from the airport and he has been won over by Grant’s charm.

Happy Easter

From Grant’s first Easter he wants to wish everyone a good day!  We had a good time over at Aunt Katie and Uncle Trevor’s (although Grant’s expressions in the pictures may not show that).

Double Digits

10 days in and things are settling down.  No, we’re not used to the sleep schedule (or lack there of), however as each day goes by the routine becomes more predictable.

Yesterday marked Grant’s first (sponge) bath, as well as his first “gotcha” on Mommy with his built-in water gun.

After his bath he felt good enough to strike some poses for us, here he is hammin’ it up:

Tomorrow we have our 2nd Doctor’s visit as well as a photography session, so keep an eye here for those pictures.

Day by day

Well we’re over a week now and everything is still going well.  We’re still getting used to the night time feedings, but it’s good that we can recover a bit during the day.  Grant continues to do well and makes us laugh every day with some new facial expression or reaction.

Sarah is continuing to feel better as her healing continues, although I need to keep reminding her to take it easy and not do so much.  We make it outside each day for a slow walk to the end of the street and back with Grant in his sleek stroller.

The cats are more interested in going outside than Grant, so they leave him alone and give him a sniff every so often.

I got the time to get three more photo galleries up on the Pictures page.  I’m not completely happy with the layout, but want to get the photos out to all of Grant’s followers ;)   Enjoy.

2 days in and all is well

Grant and Sarah continue to do well.  Sarah is recovering from the c-section while poor Mr. Grant is recovering from his snip-snip with the Dr. this morning.

We had a few visitors yesterday and we look forward to going home tomorrow.  Hope the cats are ready for their surprise :)

More pics are up as well!
